(마태복음 20:1-16)
1 천국은 마치 품군을 얻어 포도원에 들여 보내려고 이른 아침에 나간 집 주인과 같으니
2 저가 하루 한 데나리온씩 품군들과 약속하여 포도원에 들여 보내고
3 또 제 삼시에 나가 보니 장터에 놀고 섰는 사람들이 또 있는지라
4 저희에게 이르되 너희도 포도원에 들어가라 내가 너희에게 상당하게 주리라 하니 저희가 가고
5 제 육시와 제 구시에 또 나가 그와 같이 하고
6 제 십일시에도 나가 보니 섰는 사람들이 또 있는지라
7 가로되 너희는 어찌하여 종일토록 놀고 여기 섰느뇨 가로되 우리를 품군으로 쓰는 이가 없음이니이다 가로되 너희도 포도원에 들어가라 하니라
8 저물매 포도원 주인이 청지기에게 이르되 품군들을 불러 나중 온 자로부터 시작하여 먼저 온 자까지 삯을 주라 하니
9 제 십일시에 온 자들이 와서 한 데나리온씩을 받거늘
10 먼저 온 자들이 와서 더 받을 줄 알았더니 저희도 한 데나리온씩 받은지라
11 받은 후 집 주인을 원망하여 가로되
12 나중 온 이 사람들은 한 시간만 일하였거늘 저희를 종일 수고와 더위를 견딘 우리와 같게 하였나이다
13 주인이 그 중의 한 사람에게 대답하여 가로되 친구여 내가 네게 잘못한 것이 없노라
네가 나와 한 데나리온의 약속을 하지 아니하였느냐
14 네 것이나 가지고 가라 나중 온 이 사람에게 너와 같이 주는 것이 내 뜻이니라
15 내 것을 가지고 내 뜻대로 할 것이 아니냐 내가 선하므로 네가 악하게 보느냐
16 이와 같이 나중 된 자로서 먼저 되고 먼저 된 자로서 나중 되리라
이 비유에서 보면
한 시간만 일한 품꾼이나
하루 종일 땡볕에서 수고하며 일한 품꾼이나
똑 같이 한 데나리온의 품삯을 받았다.
왜 그랬을까?
하나님이 불공평하신가?
예수님 십자가에 달려 돌아가실 때 옆의 십자가에 함께 처형되었던
강도 한 사람의 이야기를 보면….
(누가복음 23:42,43)
42 가로되 예수여 당신의 나라에 임하실 때에 나를 생각하소서 하니
43 예수께서 이르시되 내가 진실로 네게 이르노니 오늘 네가 나와 함께 낙원에 있으리라 하시니라
이 강도를 보면, 아마도 평생 나쁜 짓만 하고 살았는지 모른다.
그래도 마지막 죽는 순간에 예수님을 “주여”하고 부르며 자기를 의탁하니(믿으니)
“내가 진실로 네게 이르노니 오늘 네가 나와 함께 낙원에 있으리라”
하시는 예수님의 말씀을 듣고 낙원에 갔다.
그런데 나는
20세 어린 나이에 얼떨결에 예수님을 믿고
나이 70이 되는 늙은 나이가 되도록
50년간을 …
거짓말 많이 보태서 과장을 하면…
죽을똥살똥 애써가면서
어떻게 사는 것이 그리스도인으로서 거룩하게 사는 것인지 고민하고
엎어지고, 자빠지고, 실패하고, 고뇌하고
말을 하면 할수록 부끄러운 것만 나오기 쉽다.
등등…
그런데 저 강도나 나나 똑 같이 하나님 자녀 되어 똑같이 영생을 누리다니
하나님 너무 불공평하신 것 아닙니까?
그럴 것 같으면 저도 제 맘대로 살다가
숨 넘어가기 직전에
예수님 믿고 말겠습니다.
이렇게 말하지 않겠는가?
포도원의 비유는 이런 것이라고 이해한다.
(요한복음 3:16)
하나님이 세상을 이처럼 사랑하사 독생자를 주셨으니
이는 저를 믿는 자마다 멸망치 않고 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이니라
천국은 요한복음 3:16에 주님이 선언하신 바와 같이
“저를 믿는 자마다 멸망치 않고 영생을 얻게 하심이니라”
인 것이다.
혹시 억울해도 할 수 없다.
그것이 하나님의 뜻이요 사랑이다.
나중 믿은 사람에게 너와 똑같은 영생을 주는 것이 하나님의 뜻이다
누구든지, 언제든지
예수님을 믿는 자마다 멸망치 않고 영생을 얻게 하심이니라.
당연한 하나님의 섭리인 것이다.
행위에 의한 구원이 아닌 것이다.
비유의 시작인 “천국은 …” 이 말을
예수님이 마태복음 13장 처음에 말씀하신 대로
천국의 복음은…
천국 복음을 믿고 구원 받는 것은…
예수 그리스도를 믿어 영생을 누리는 것은 …
등으로 바꾸어서 시작을 하면 비유를 더 풀 것도 없이 이해가 된다.
이렇게 이해하는 것이
성경 다른 부분의 교훈과 조화가 된다.
자연스럽다.
옳다.
