2:9 Surely you remember, brothers, our toil and hardship; we worked night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone while we preached the gospel of God to you.

2:14 For you, brothers, became imitators of God’s churches in Judea, which are in Christ Jesus:

2:15 who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out. They displease God and are hostile to all men

3:3 so that no one would be unsettled by these trials. You know quite well that we were destined for them.

3:7 Therefore, brothers, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith.

4:16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

5:12 Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work hard among you, who are over you in the Lord and who admonish you.

5:14 And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone.

5:27 I charge you before the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers.

1:7 and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels.

1:9 They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power

(Chapter 2)

2:2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come.

2:9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders,

2:11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie

3:8 nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you.
